Our Rights - Cambodian Labor L Review
"Our Rights" is an Android application developed by Pegotec Pte. Ltd. in partnership with FABRIC, which is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). This application is an educational tool aimed at improving the knowledge of Cambodian garment workers about their rights and obligations under the Cambodian labor law, with an emphasis on the most important labor laws and occupational health and safety regulations in the workplace.
The app follows the story of Nary, a Cambodian garment worker, as she learns about her rights and obligations in the factory through conversations with her co-workers. The app offers chapters read and listened to in both English and Khmer, making it accessible to a wide range of users. The app is designed to contribute to the improvement of the sustainability of the Asian textile and garment sector by promoting knowledge sharing and cooperation among industry stakeholders, public sectors, NGOs, and international buyers.
